ALWAYS use measurements when choosing which size to order. It is totally normal for a child to require an ‘adult’ size hat or for an adult to wear a ‘child’ size. Please see the size chart in the album to see the sizes available. FYI: My 5yr old is wearing age 4-7 and it fits comfortably and my 7.5yr old is in age 7-12 which also just fits on my head although ideally I would need a bigger size. I generally find this pattern true to size if you are unable to measure.
Interfacing is used on the brim to give it a more defined shape.
